Why did you choose to be a nail tech?
After earning my nail license and taking on my first few clients, I realized that there is something really special about sitting face-to-face with a stranger for an hour. My appointments often feel like impromptu therapy sessions (for me and my clients). The relationships and friendships I’ve built in my 10+ years as a nail tech have truly shaped me and made me a better person. I feel like every person I talk to is an opportunity to learn something new!
Where did you go to beauty school and when?
I went to Rob Roy Academy in Taunton, RI in 2013. In 2019, I had the opportunity to travel to LA and work directly for the designer Tom Ford where I prepped his models (including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner) for the runway!
What are your favorite services to provide and why?
I love giving a relaxing pedicure, making my clients feel refreshed always makes me happy! Oh, and I LOVE getting out a pesky ingrown toenail!
What’s ONE fun thing you’d love to do someday?
I would love to travel to the Amalfi Coast with my camera in hand!

LAURA

Why did you choose to be an esthetician and nail tech?
Because of my passion for skin care and beauty. I want to help people feel great about
themselves — and that dream has brought me here!
Where did you go to beauty school and when?
I attended the AVEDA Institute of Rhode Island (located in Cranston) from 2017 to 2018, and began working in the industry in September 2018.
What are your favorite services to provide and why?
Facials, because the results are so immediately visible. Plus, clients can relax and get some much needed SLO time.
What’s ONE fun thing you’d love to do someday?
I want to travel the U.S. on a cross country road trip, and camp within the national parks.

KARICIA

Why did you choose to be a Hair Stylist & Nail Tech?
I’ve always loved making people happy and I found I was able to do that with cutting hair & doing nails. Seeing the smiles on a happy client’s face is something you cannot put a price on.
Where did you go to beauty school & when?
I went to Tricounty Vocational School and received my cosmetology license in 2021. I’ve been learning & improving my skill sets ever since.
What are your favorite services to provide & why?
My favorite service to provide would have to be blow outs. I find it calming and relaxing for both me & my client and you see an instant transformation!
What’s ONE fun thing you’d like to do one day?
One day, I’d like to be able to go to Hawaii. I’ve heard nothing but exciting things and it’s always been a dream of mine.

LEAH

Why did you choose to become a massage therapist?
I truly believe in healing the mind and body. People work so hard, and this takes a heavy toll on the body. I love being able to help people relax and feel better about themselves. I know what massage has done for me, both mentally and physically, and simply want to help provide the same results for others.
How long have you been a massage therapist?
I received my massage license in August 2020.
What are your favorite services to provide and why?
Relaxation massages have to be my favorite. When people find themselves going through the daily motions, they may have a hard time simply relaxing. I love being able to help these people detox and destress. There are so many benefits that can come from your nervous system just slowing down a bit.
What’s ONE fun thing you’d love to do someday?
I would love to backpack around Central America and/or Europe one day. Traveling is so important to me. There is so much to see on this beautiful planet, and I want to see it all.

LYNNE

Why did you decide to become a massage therapist?
I had been in the world of personal training and fitness for many years before I decided that the transition to massage therapy would be a natural next step. Improving client’s overall health and reducing their physical pain is my primary focus.
Which massage school did you attend?
I attended Salter School of Massage in Fall River, Ma in 2010. I graduated from a one year program and have been learning new techniques and modalities ever since.
What’s your favorite service to provide and why?
I enjoy giving deep tissue massages as well as therapeutic massages because I feel I have the biggest impact on my clients’ well-being.
What is ONE fun thing you would like to do one day?
I’d love to country line dance in Texas and go on a safari in Africa one day.

Why did you choose to become a hair stylist?
To express my artistic creativity and make people feel great about themselves.
Which cosmetology school did you attend and when?
I went to Rob Roy Academy from 2008 to 2009.
What are your favorite services to provide?
Cutting, styling, and hair extensions.
What’s ONE fun thing you’d love to do someday?
I’d like to take a road trip around the country. Goal is to see every single state!

JENNY LEE

Why did you choose to become a hair stylist? 
When I was younger, I loved playing with dolls. I’d get out my scissors and cut their hair. I grew up around four sisters and a brother, so I always had opportunities to practice my styling skills. Shoutout to one sister for teaching me to French braid! Once I got older, I began styling my friends’ hair and developed a passion for it. In high school, when thinking of possible careers, nothing else came to mind besides being a hairdresser. There’s nothing else I’d rather do!
How long have you been in the beauty industry?
I’ve been styling hair for 10 years.
What are your favorite services to provide and why?
Coloring hair. There are so many ways to get creative with it! I can give clients the gorgeous color they’re looking for, while also putting my own spin on things. Styling is just as rewarding. Whether I’m blow drying, curling, or straightening, these finishing touches are so important. I get to see my clients smile about their new look, and I get to see the result of my work and creativity. 
What’s ONE fun thing you’d love to do someday?
I’d love to be a professional shopper!

KASSANDRA

Why did you choose to be an esthetician and makeup artist?
I have always had a passion for beauty & science. After high school, I fulfilled my dream by going to cosmetology school. Ever since then, I have been researching aesthetics, beauty trends and love my career. I find it rewarding to be able to help others understand the way their skin works and how I can naturally improve your appearance.
Where’d you go to beauty school and when?
I graduated Lowell Hair Academy Institute in 2015. Since then, I’ve been to numerous advanced classes achieving multiple certifications.
What’s ONE fun thing you’d love to do someday?
One fun thing I’d love to do someday is road trip across America.
What are your favorite services to provide and why?
My favorite services to provide are microdermabrasion & brightening facials. Both therapeutic treatments with effective results.

MARYANN

Why did you choose to become an esthetician?
Because I enjoy working with people. I get to help my clients relax and distress — and leave feeling beautiful and rejuvenated!
How long have you been in the beauty industry?
I have over 20 years of experience in the industry.
What are your favorite services to provide and why?
Facials. They leave the skin glowing, and my clients brimming with joy!
What’s ONE fun thing you’d love to do someday?
I’d love to spend a month in Italy, touring the country and visiting famous landmarks.
